ACCTS medic's book will help train nursing and healthcare students

An ACCTS medic has co-written a text book to help train healthcare professionals of the future.

David Brent, Operational Lead for ACCTS Cymru, is the lead author of Applied Pathophysiology for Nurses and Healthcare Students at a Glance which is aimed at nurses and healthcare students.

He said: “Having previously written chapters for a number of healthcare textbooks, this was my first opportunity to take on a lead author role and contribute to the development of an entire textbook.

“The book aims to make complex pathophysiology accessible and relevant for nursing and healthcare students. Seeing the finished publication has been a proud milestone and provided an opportunity to contribute to the learning of future healthcare professionals.”

ACCTS Service Manager Meryl Jenkins said the accomplishment will not only help to shape and support the future of advanced practice for others, but is also a continuation of David’s own professional and academic journey.
