The EMRTS Critical Care Hub (ECCH) is able to take telephone referrals for level 2 & 3 Critical Care patients requiring inter-hospital transfers to and from Welsh Hospitals.
This includes both land and air transfer, and appropriate clinical team escort depending on requirments. In addition it also provides a platform to support retrieval and hospital teams where appropriate.
All cases are considered on a case by cases basis, in line with commissioned criteria for acceptance.
Teams deployed may be from the core EMRTS teams, in cases of time critical emergencies, or the ACCTS Teams operating across Wales. After initial triage, you will be conferenced into a call with relevant parties including a coordinator and top cover consultant.
